Help transform a garden and change a life

Could you volunteer a few hours a week or month to help someone reclaim their garden and improve their health and wellbeing? By becoming a Green Aiders volunteer, not only will you be trained with the skills to bring a garden back to life, but in doing so you give that person back their outdoor space and reduce their risk of being a target of crime.

If you can do this, we'll train you and provide you with the equipment you need, plus you'll be getting active outdoors and meeting others too!

How does it work?

As a Hertfordshire Green Aiders volunteer you’ll be helping the most vulnerable residents regain control over their gardens and improve their quality of life. Doing so, you’ll get fit and healthy, learn new gardening skills and meet new people - all whilst spending time in the great outdoors.

We’ll provide you with all the necessary training, equipment and transport (spaces limited from our Hatfield office), all you need to bring is yourself, sensible outdoor clothes and your enthusiasm. There is no obligation and you can give as much or as little time as you can.

Please note, this is service is only carried out in Hertfordshire.
